探访妹姨老姐妹

 

           老人事工团队在每隔一、两个星期，会到妹姨家服事。为她扫地、洗衣服、碗碟和洗刷身体。所谓：＂路遥知马力，日久见人心。" 不知不觉，我们服侍，帮助她已将近两年了。渐渐地，她与我们相处时也毫无戒备之心，对我们也多了几份的信任。

          在2012年5月27日这一天，我们为了要帮妹姨更换新的床褥，邀请教会青少年来帮忙。当天，青少年们帶领我们唱了两首福建圣诗，赞美耶和华。妹姨也开心得跟着音乐打起拍子来。耶稣说：＂寻找就得寻见，叩门的就为你开门。＂看哪! 妹姨在叩上帝的门啦!

                      哈利路亚! 在圣灵的同在当中，妹姨接受了耶稣为她生命的救主！

                We visit Auntie Mei about twice a month. We help her with the house chores and bath her. After two years with her, she begins to trust us and accept us as her friends.
            On 27th of May 2011, we invited the Youth Fellowship members of our church to visit Auntie Mei. We sang two Hokkien songs to worship the Lord. Auntie Mei clapped along.    
            Praise the Lord,  she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour on that day!

        后记：爱热闹的妹姨还千叮万瞩提醒青少年们经常來探访她呢! 

      又后记：突然想唱这首诗歌。。。“看哪！看哪！一切都更新。听啊！听啊！天使为她欢呼。。。。”

探访Auntie幼娘

       透过素珠姐妹，老人事工团队认识了Auntie幼娘和她儿子阿山。幼娘她患有糖尿病，导致于她脚掌浮肿，行动也比较缓慢。不过却絲豪都没影响她开朗的性格，不但说话声音宏量还相当的谦虚呢! 

       与她一同居住的儿子 - 阿山，为人孝顺，不但要照顾母亲的饮食起居还得经常用摩哆车载送母亲到中央医院看症哩! 在天不做美的情况下(下雨天。。。) 我们也会开车载Auntie幼娘回家，她总是一直不停口的向我们道谢，而我们总是拍拍她的肩膀轻声的向她说:"在耶稣基督里，我们都是一家人，不必言谢。" 

       这星期日的探访，因为前阵子Auntie幼娘向我们投诉说她家后院杂草丛生，导致家里有很多蚊子，所以我们老人事工团队决定去为她的家作清理。。。

                    Sister Sook  Chu introduced Auntie You Niang and her son, Ah San, to us.Auntie You Niang is suffering from diabetes. However, she is a cheerful and humble person.
                   Her  son takes good care of her. He always brings her to the general hospital for checkups on his motorbike. If the weather is bad, we send her by car. She really appreciates our help.
                  This Sunday, we clean the house and the backyard as there are a lot of mosquitoes.

探访林文英老姐妹（吴弟兄的母亲）

  20/11/2011接到吴弟兄来电说他的母亲早上在医院去世了，在世寄居92载。。。

    感谢上帝奇妙的作为，透过圣灵的感动，吴弟兄在十一月六日（星期日）邀请北方之星老人事工团队探访他的母亲- 林文英老姐妹。

    林婆婆的个子瘦小，有一副慈祥的样貌，说起话来语气柔和，虽然她的行动比较缓慢，但她的听觉和记性仍然很好。在我们的交谈中，林婆婆都以潮语和我们沟通。而 我们这几位姐妹都听不懂潮语，只好由弟兄们充当翻译员，为我们作解释呢！

    在圣灵的带领下，林婆婆向我们表示她愿意接受主耶稣为她生命的救主，也跟着我们作了决志祷告。哈利路亚！奇妙的上帝，当我们在她房里唱着那首福建诗歌  –  《真正好，来信耶稣真正好。。。》林文英老姐妹与我们一同拍手唱和，她脸上流露出满足的笑容，仿佛是躺卧在主耶稣的怀抱中了。。哈利路亚！是的主，这就是您平安和喜乐充满的慿据！
      
          On 20.11.2011, I received a phone call from brother Goh, his mother, Madam Lim, was called to the Lord. She was 92 years old........

         Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, Mr. Goh invited us to share the Gospel to his mother on 6.11.2011.Mdm Lim was a kind and soft-spoken lady. Her hearing and memory was good. She spoke to us in Teo Chew dialect. Praise God she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior on that day.
Hallelujah! When we worshiped God, she sang and clapped along. She was filled with the joy of the Lord. Indeed, God's peace and joy is so tangible!

家庭关怀探访及赠送日常用品

感谢上帝的恩典，因着祂的美好旨意，双溪大年北方之星教会—关怀老人事工在2010年正式成立。这项事工主要是关坏和服事区内的老人家，为他们献上温馨的关怀及美好的祝福！
North Star - Serve The Elderly Ministry was established in 2010 with the aim of helping the needy elderly people. The volunteers visit the old folks, help them to do house chores, supply food and clothing to them. May the elderly people be blessed by love of Jesus Christ.

     在我们的服事当中，有一些的老人是不需要我们去做打扫的。因此我们就作定期的探访及带给他们一些日常用品做为手信。

            沿着 老街场kebun tebu 直走时，在左手边， 就会看见一排好像砂拉越长屋般的木屋（是以房子的单位出租的）。在那里有其中两间出租于两位独居的老人----李五妹婆婆和碧叶婆婆。
             In the old town  (Kebun Tebu) of Sungei Petani, there is a long house (resembles the long house in Sarawak).  Aunt Lee  and Aunt Peek Ye are two of  the tenants there.

                在数次的探访后，这位李五妹婆婆曾经告诉我们她在数年前遇上一场车祸。她的脊椎骨由于重伤造成损害， 因此现在她的身躯驼背。 不过，坚强的她仍然很积极的面对生活。 虽然饱受疾病的折磨， 还能够骑直行车到附近的诊所看病，或是买一些日常用品。还记得今年母亲节时，我们趁着这个节日，特地邀请她到餐馆享用晚餐，让她度过一个温馨的一天 ，她格外开心，还不停地向我们道谢呢！
              Aunt Lee told us she met an accident a few years ago. She sustained injury to the spine. She suffers terrible backache and is undergoing treatment. However, she is determined to face the challenges of life alone. She cycles to the clinic for treatment. She also cycles to get groceries. On Mother's Day, we brought her to the  restaurant for a good meal. She was so happy. Praise the Lord!

 

                                                                         

碧叶婆婆

          这位“开心婆婆”----碧叶婆婆。 她常常把笑容挂在嘴边。在每次的探访中，她都以笑脸迎接我们。她为人随和，很容易与人打成一片，和她交谈时，总有说不完的话。而她在日常生活中， 常以观赏电视节目来消磨时间，所以，我们的探访让她感到特别高兴。偶尔，我们也会和她结伴到小贩中心享用美食。
          This cheerful lady is Aunt Peek Ye. She always welcomes us with a lovely smile. She says her pastime is watching her favourite TV programmes. Now she enjoys our company. Sometime, we invite her out for a meal.

桂英婆婆

            我们首次去探望桂英婆婆时，她坦率的向我们述说了一件令她心痛不已的事，原来数年前她的大儿子及年幼大孙子不幸得了癌症，已相继逝世-----过后，大媳妇也因病重也逝世了！只剩下小孙 女与她们相依为命。这些接二连三的恶耗对桂英婆婆的打击非常大。她也深表遗憾当时眼睁睁看着年幼的大孙子受尽病症的折磨而无能为力。。。
                                   When we came to know Aunt  Gui Ying, she told us her sad story,  Her eldest son and youngest grandson passed away due to cancer. Later, her daughter -in -law too passed away due to fatal illness. Now she lives with her young granddaughter. She is so sad when she thinks of the tragedies....

                          在我们当天的探访中，他带我们到屋后去看那几乎要倒的破墙，每逢下雨后，屋后都积满了雨水，都要劳动一番，才能清洗干净。他也告诉我们说他有一位太太及两位年幼的孩子，根本没有能力来修整房子。。。他那热情的举动，让我们感受到他很需要我们的关心和帮助！
                       Uncle Lian Zhi Qiang, his wife and two young children stay in an old wooden house. The house is in poor condition. The backyard is always flooded after a heavy downpour. He couldn't afford to repair the house with his meagre income. He needs our help badly!   

                

   后记：

                     弟兄姐妹，让我们举起祷告的双手，感谢神如此的恩待我们，赐给我们健康身体来作服事的事工。也让我们举起祝福的双手，把神所赐福的奉献出去；正如经上所说的“你们白白地得来，也要白白地舍去。”    但愿弟兄姐妹们能够在SP这个地区成为许多人的祝福，彰显耶稣基督的圣名，好叫那失丧的灵魂得着拯救，藉着耶稣基督让救恩临到他们家中。

阿们！ 

Footnote:                                                                                                                                                      Let us pray together for God' s grace for being healthy,  so that we can serve His people. The Bibles says 'Freely you have received, freely give" . Let us bless  the elderly people and bring salvation to them. All glory to God.

亲爱的罗太顺弟兄

            在上帝奇妙的旨意当中，透过服事妹姨，我们认识了罗弟兄（他和妹姨住在同一间屋子里）。起初，他并不很欢迎我们，只是向我们点头微笑。后来，他看见我们以出自内心那真诚，又不求回报的爱来服事妹姨，渐渐地，他也和我们熟悉起来，也改变了他那如一般华人传统思想对基督徒抗拒的心理。在两个月前，他由于喉咙疼痛，声音沙哑，到双溪大年医院求医，检验报告显示他得了第三期喉癌。经过这一事项，他在彷徨无助的情况之下，接受耶稣基督为他灵魂的救主，近日也参加了我们教会的主日崇拜。目前，他则在Hospital Besar Kepala Batas 接受治疗,而他来回医院的车程都由弟兄姐妹载送，有时我们还煮一些合胃口的食物让他享用。

Through helping Aunty Mei, we came to know her friend, Uncle Loh. In the beginning, Uncle Loh was sceptical about us. Gradually, he realised we were sincere in helping Aunty Mei. Since then, he has accepted us as his friends. He is also more open  when we share the Gospel with him.
Two months ago, Uncle Loh had severe sore  throat. When he went to Hospital Besar Sungai Petani for check-up, the doctor told him he had third stage throat cancer. He was devastated by the awful news. We shared God's love with him and prayed for him. Praise God for he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.
Now he is attending our church. We send him to Hospital Besar Kepala Batas for treatment and also prepare meals for him.

后记：弟兄姐妹，让我们一起诚心的为罗弟兄祷告，为他的救恩感谢主。

求主施恩怜悯，求主行神迹，求主在罗弟兄的身上彰显医治的大能。

无论什么事情发生，

主都在掌权，愿神的旨意成就在地上如同在天上一样，

因为凡事互相效力，叫爱神的人得益处，阿门！

Let us pray with one accord for God's healing upon  Uncle Loh. Amen!

探访黄源英老婆婆 - Taman Baiduri, Sg Petani.

黄源英老婆婆已经92岁了！

今天的服事总共有二十多位弟兄姐妹来参与，大家同心协力，不辞劳苦的为婆婆打扫房子。哈利路亚！当我们把房子打扫干净和为婆婆洗澡后，沉默寡言的婆婆轻声说：“真舒服啊！”

是的主！当我们把爱分享出去的时候，世界就变得美好了。。。

There were more than twenty of us from Northstar Community Center joint effort in giving Aunty Eng's house a spring-cleaning. Aunty Eng too had  enjoyed a good shower since more than a year ago. She as a lady of few words uttered softly, ' I feel so refreshed! "   We were so touched by her response.
Yes Lord, when we share our love of  Jesus Christ, the world becomes so wonderful!
